Marilyn Dean Phillips

Marilyn retired from the U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM) in October 2006 as a senior logistics manager, the Director of Depot Maintenance in the Integrated Materiel Management Center (IMMC). She was responsible for managing over $1.2B annual budget for depot maintenance and worldwide repair programs and for oversight of the AMCOM depots. In 1999-2000, she successfully developed the plan for a new AMCOM mission whereby the Corpus Christi Army Depot and the Letterkenny Army Depot report directly to the AMCOM Commander. From 2002-2006, she served for extended periods as the Acting Director of Maintenance with full responsibility for all repair and maintenance programs for the AMCOM missile and aviation weapon systems.

Previous experience includes senior level financial management of all types of Army funding. She worked at Headquarters Dept. of the Army to help develop and implement Army policy for the Army Working Capital Fund (AWCF) and was the AMCOM IMMC senior manager responsible for implementing AWCF. She served as the senior manager for AWCF parts contracts at AMCOM. She has a broad range of experience in command level strategic planning initiatives, process improvement, major reorganizations and BRAC merger; systems analysis on the current and future logistics inventory database.

Marilyn holds an M.B.A. with a concentration in Logistics Management from the Florida Institute of Technology. She took general education classes at the University of Alabama in Huntsville and earned her B.S. in Business Administration from Athens University. She is a Huntsville native who enjoys community projects, playing golf, and activities with her family who also lives in Huntsville.
